When we walk through our parents’ houses, the majority of us would feel an overwhelming sensation of nostalgia, with memories tied with every frame, vase, and the thing on the coffee table that was never thrown out for some reason. These objects have taught us lessons of what a home looks and feels like (and others, what it does not look and feel like). A question I’ve been pondering lately is: how does one create a home? What things are needed to form an atmosphere that say, “I live here”?
